Person-centered therapy
Person-centered counselling is one of the humanistic modalities or approaches. Person-centered therapy is a non-directive approach to talk therapy that requires the client to actively take the reins during each therapy session, while the therapist acts mainly as a guide or a source of support for the client. It was founded in the 1940s by the American psychologist Carl Rogers who believed that, given the right conditions, a person can reach their full potential and become their true self, which he termed 'self-actualization'.The basic Goals of Person-Centered Therapy are to increase self-acceptance and self-esteem and minimize negative feelings (such as defensiveness, regret, guilt, and insecurity). Get a better understanding and trust in yourself through self-expression and self-growth.
Psychodynamic Approach
Psychodynamic is an approach that emphasizes the systematic study of psychological forces, underlying human behavior, feelings, and emotions, and how they might relate to early experience (e.g. trauma). The term psychodynamics is also used to refer to Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis. It can be beneficial for personality development. If you want to find out more about yourself, are open to learning more about your emotions and past experiences, want to utilize your full potential, or deal with conflicts better. Psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic-oriented psychotherapy can provide a sustainable approach to your personality development.
Health Psychological Counselling
Depression and anxiety can be related to physical issues e.g. tension headache, pain, and vice versa. Thus medical treatment alone is sometimes not sufficient. Health Psychological counselling and free expression can help to find and tackle possible triggers and underlying causes related to physical illnesses. Regular therapy sessions can help to deal with symptoms in a better way and to find solutions besides medication. Relaxation techniques can support the coping process.
